OLIVER PERFORMING AT PARK JR. HIGH

Oliver hits the stage at 7:00 p.m., Nov. 13 and Nov. 14, at Park Jr. High, 325 N. Park, La Grange Park. Tickets may be purchased for $5.00 at the door.

More than100 student cast and crew members are participating in this year's musical, featuring Oliver, an orphaned boy lured into the world of thievery, being performed by Mardi Sramek. Fagin, the ringleader of the "pickpockets" is played by Paul Hunter, and Charlie Feller plays "The Artful Dodger" who is one of Fagin's "star pupils". After being sold from the workhouse, Oliver works for Fagin until he is arrested during one of the pick pocketing outings. Ironically, the wallet that Oliver stole belonged to his paternal grandfather who eventually recognizes his true identity. With the help of reformed adolescent thief, Nancy, played by Kailey Rousonelos, Mr. Brownlow adopts Oliver but that isn't before the characters are plagued with violence and murder.
